What's the difference between a celebrant and a registrar?
A Registrar conducts legally binding wedding ceremonies that are restrictive and allow you no personalisation. They literally have a "one size fits all" script which is used for every couple and they can only perform these ceremonies within a licensed wedding venue. You also will not meet the Registrar until the day of your wedding. In a nutshell, there is no freedom with a Registrar when it comes to your ceremony.

A Celebrant on the other hand, gets to know you personally before the big day, to be able to provide you with a unique and personalised ceremony, written just for you completely from scratch. You'll be in contact throughout the whole process and supported throughout. There are no limitations on what you can achieve with a celebrant led wedding and no restrictions on the place or time either! You want a ceremony on a mountain, a boat, in your back garden or on a plane? No problem gorgeous, I've got you and we can make it happen!
Are celebrant led ceremonies legally binding?
Celebrant led ceremonies are not legally binding but that's a good thing. It gives you total freedom to have the bespoke ceremony of your dreams!
Couples are opting to do the legal bit separately at their local registry office before their wedding day for as little £100. You can even go in jeans and not bother exchanging rings if you don't fancy it! Think of it as the paperwork/admin to get done before your real wedding day with your friends and family.
what area do you cover?
ANYWHERE YOU NEED ME BABY! I'm based in Sittingbourne in Kent, but I am happy to travel anywhere in the country and beyond if required. So yes, I'm happy to do destination weddings too!
what are your travel fees?
If your event venue is outside of 45 minutes in distance from ME10 (Sittingbourne) then 50p per mile rate will apply.

Also, if your event venue is 2 hours from ME10 then 50p per mile rate will apply and accommodation will be required the night before your event. This ensures I'm already there the morning of your wedding and won't risk being caught in traffic or any other unlucky event 2 hours from your wedding. This will be completely discussed with you when we have the initial chat so no surprise fees ever.
how do I book?
Simply go to the contact page on this old site, message me on Instagram or email me at theredfoxcelebrant@hotmail.com. I would say message me on Facebook but those messages tend to disappear into the great beyond and seem impossible to find again! Or is that just me?
Once we have chatted, totally bonded and become besties, I book you in and accept a deposit. The remaining fee is split 50/50 and paid 3 months before the big day (when you receive your first draft) and then 1 month before your wedding (when you receive your final draft).
do you perform same sex weddings?
LOVE IS LOVE! So abso-bloody-lutely I do!! Any sexuality, any gender or non binary couple is welcome to contact me so I can create a beautifully inclusive ceremony for you.
Can I request you wear something specific?
Of course! I love bold colours and will never wear a boring, bland suit. I'm sure you'll be happy with what I pick to wear but of course if you want me to wear something more specific on your day to fit with the colour scheme or even a costume? I'm 100% up for it! On my Instagram, I offer a look-book under my story highlights which shows you what I love to wear and offers a variety of outfits i'm happy to don for your occasion! If you see me wear something you specifically think would look cracking with your colour scheme then you let me know and i'll rock it for your ceremony!
